Recently I published an article with some pretty dark commentary on the direction of our country. If you have not yet read it, you may link to it here. In that article I made it seem that we are heading down a one way street to certain destruction with no way to turn around.
For a while I did think that. I looked around and wondered how so much of the population could be so blind or apathetic to what was happening. It was clear to me. I’m no genius and I saw it.
Well, I no longer believe that is true. Since 2010, those of us who’ve been paying attention, have witnessed an awakening of sorts, that has not waivered, but has grown.
Throughout American history, the population has been split into thirds (approximately). One third is on the side we think is wrong, one-third is on the side of right (but is relatively anonymous) and one-third is effectively apathetic. The key to winning has always been, which third wants it more, and this time, I think we do.
As I said, 2010 was the beginning of the great awakening, as the good people of the quiet third on the right 
began to fight back.

What is it that we need to do? Relative to those who came before us, how hard is our task?
We are not being asked to start a new country. We aren’t being asked to end slavery. We are not being asked to save the country from seceding states. We are not being asked to fight against evil bent on world domination (not yet, anyway).
All that is asked of us is to take back the country that we inherited.
Do we really, really want to be the generation that let America slip away and become a free nation in name only?
Do we really want to be the generation that dishonored those who sacrificed so much so that we may be free?
For too long, perhaps our whole lives, we have let others fight our battles, do our bidding and just handle the hard stuff. We all just live our lives and allow someone else to take care of things on our behalf. We don’t really care how it gets done, just that it gets done or at least appears to be done.
In 1781 Thomas Jefferson wrote, “Dependence begets subservience and venality, suffocates the germ of virtue, and prepares fit tools for the designs of ambition.”
We are living now in a time of the new American Revolution. No not one of muskets and sabers, cannons and tall ships, but one of renewed values, of renewed independence, of reliance, not our government but on one another.
We are fighting for the soul of this country. Not just the flag waving, USA, USA chanting patriotism that we see at you’re average sporting event.
I’m talking about what it means to be an American. How lucky we are and that we take it for granted every day.
We, on the right are an ever-growing all volunteer force that know what we’re fighting for. The other side cannot make that claim. They have conscripts and mercenaries. They will not win the day with troops that don’t know their purpose. For this reason, we will win the day.
So get involved, stay involved, win the day and hold the people we to account after we win.
